Going deeper

Text: Ezekiel 47:1-6 ; Luke 5:1-7

We need to go deeper. Thank God for where we are. But we can go deeper. Spiritually and physically. The world is good in strategizing for the future. We need to do so too. How far have you gone? We need to get deep into the Lord's territory. The shores are dirty. The deeper waters are cleaner.

The discontent are on the shore. Tap the riches in the deep. Be a Christian 24/7. Ankle-deep Christianity is boring. Waist-deep Christians are lukewarm. They oscillate between diving and walking.

We need to swim. Two things are found here: more water More fish. Water stands for more spiritual anointing (deep prayer, fellowship, zeal). More action than words. Full of the holy spirit. Fish represent blessings in abundance.

In the deep we will get:

1.True repentance

As a result of true evaluation of our relationship with God. You avoid all sins including 'small' sins.

2.Restoration to normalcy :

Hannah prayed God to restore her to normalcy. When you get deeper, you seek God to restore things- your life, church, nation etc. to normalcy. Don't be content with the status quo. Jabez went before God and God answered his prayer.

3.Godly divine ideas

2 Chronicles 20:1-28 , Jehoshaphat used a choir to fight the enemies of God. May God give us godly, divine ideas.
