Text: Ephesians 4:10-15
It's important to have a foundation of faith that shields us from the deceiver. We are sanctified and justified through the blood of Jesus. We are new creation. The old has passed, all is new. We qualify to call God our Father. That is the truth that sets us free.
We have the power through the Holy Spirit. This is a self-regenerating power in us. Ephesians 4:7, he has provided us with grace, same in Titus 2:11. It enables us to say No. Mary Magdalene the harlot was deep in sin but Jesus changed her. The one who has been forgiven more loves more. She was among the women who discovered that Jesus had resurrected.
Why did God give us gifts/grace for our Christian lives? Acts 2:25-31, especially verse 28-31, to be safe from wolves on our midst. Grace to make us stable in doctrine. False doctrine is likened to wolves. Savage carnivores. Satan can impersonate an angel of light. Therefore beware.
Ephesians 2:12-14, we are equipped for the work of the ministry in the church. The gifts make us immune to wrong doctrines. Dissatisfaction is the first symptom of vulnerability to false doctrine. The gifts bring us to maturity in faith. To the stature of Christ.
May God help us say NO to the wolves.
